subject: Battery charger.

JP> TW> I thouhgt I mentioned it befop4e but it basicly is really not
JP> TW> recommended unless the charger is a modern type including close
JP> TW> Voltage control and posabibly cell temperature.

JP> Yes you did and I noted it. I was trying to get more inputs here
JP> as it is all free. IIRC, you said that the same charger could be used
JP> and the only difference would be a longer time required to reach full
JP> charge due to the higher capacity of the NiMh cells. I have not done it
JP> yet, I will tell when I do.

Yuo could get away with it as long as the CEll Temperature is checked
for overheating AND it is on a Timer as NiMH batteries are less
 tollerent of Overcharging then NiCad's

IF the device the bateries are used i ndo NOT have some sort of LOW
battery indications, like Radio Shack Scanner and Yeasu Ham Held DO, it
is very difficult to determine battery state of charge for setting the
Charge time.
Teh rough standard Charging current is 10% of the Milli-Amp Hour
Capacity for 12 to 14 Hours for an almost completle discharged
battery.

IF I have gone over this before with you please accecpt my Appologies.
The Short term memory is really bad.
It is funny thouhg ,Some things stick and others don't and I haven't
located any patern yet. OF course if I forget soemthing that reference
point is GONE isin't it?? :-) :-) :-)
