JA{at}> WOW - the 2m band was really open this morning! Was listening to
JA{at}> chatter on the 'local' repeater and could hear other voices coming
JA{at}> through. Once everything
JA{at}> died down and I got to my job site, I was listening to people on the
JA{at}> same frequency. They finally broke away so I thought, what the heck.
JA{at}> Probably not the
JA{at}> same PL tone, but I'll give it a try. Was the same tone! I chatted with
JA{at}> someone about 100 miles away - was listening like they were on the same
JA{at}> repeater but they were in another state - and could hear me crystal
JA{at}> clear too.
When we get areas of fog here...especially overnight...we get some good
tropo and skip on 2 and 6 meters.
I understand that HF (RF) and D-Star HF has been HORRIBLE lately...the
bands are basically noisy and dead.
