Yes, even pre-80's AMC's are Chrysler products, they were adopted so to 
speak.
According to High performance Mopar, May 1991, the early hemi came out 
in 1951, the cid was 331, not 392. (my mistake).  In 1957, the 392 came 
out with the option of having a troublesome fuel injection system.
