ST> I have not read that series yet, it's historical isn't it?
SB> Yes, and I don't really care for historical per se, but really have
 SB> enjoyed Davis' writing.
I have heard good things about them. There is something about the time
period that turns me off. Must be my years of Latin in Catholic School.

SB> I thought "Beekeeper's" was "OK," but I'm not a raving fan of Holmes,
 SB> original or knock-offs!
I have never read any Sherlock Holmes. (My son had read almost all of
them). But I LOVED BEEK.
SB> Am currently reading "Kiss the Girls" by James Patterson (?). It's
SB> all right but not great. His villains are certainly villainous
 SB> enough but I don't think he's really that good a writer.
I have a couple of his books in the TBR pile but have never read them.
Another author still waiting for me.
I started reading a new author yesterday. Her name is Barbara Jaye
Wilson and the book is called "Death Brims Over". The main character,
Brenda Midnight, is a milliner. The marketing on the book has been
great. First we got a postcard touting it, then a little hatbox with a
black rose in it. It made me pick it up! And it hooked me from page one!
I really like the writing style and the characters. It's in paperback.
