It's *possible* that you're thinking of the Walter "bi-fuel"  
rocket engines - T-Stoff plus Z-Stoff was the "bi-fuel".
T-Stoff was their naming for Hydrogen Peroxide plus additional  
water.
Z-Stoff was Calcium Permanganate solution.  That was combined  
with the H2O2 in the thrust chamber to produce the thrust.

It wasn't too stable. :(
