Hallo Jim,
JV> My mother trims her hibiscus way down, almost to the ground.
JV> She used to give me and my father fits, thinking she was
JV> killing them, but the buggers come back just as healthy as
 JV> before.
Still a lot of flowers ?
HS>> Most are red, pink, yellow, or white, or a combination.
JM>> Over here, most of them are blue
JV> We have LOTS of hibiscus around here. They seem to love our
JV> climate, but I've never seen a white or blue one. Well, I
JV> have seen the white with peach center.
I don't know if a hibiscus can be 'completely' white. I hav got a 'double'
white with a peach center, a red one and a blue one.
JV> They're cheap enough too. One garden store had them on sale
JV> last week. I think it was a one gallon pot. 2 for $4.00
Whaaaw, that's for free.
I paid 7 to 12 dollars a piece for my plants.
JV> I have a lot of Lantana that I'm planning on pulling up when
 JV> the weather gets cooler.
In Belgium we can't grow Lantana in the garden, only in cans, because it
isn't hardy.
Groetjes,
Jean Menten
