The 'last of the few' here on FIDO who lived this history might
want to check it out for nostalgia and a chance to correct
errors and/or omissions? 

I found CoBBS there with _no_ mention that I was the one who
actually made it work and supported it online for 3 years while
the original author was incapacitated after almost
electrocuting himself installing a commercial radio tower. :-(
