On Thursday, July 17, 2008, the President signed into law:

H.R. 634, the "American Veterans Disabled for Life Commemorative Coin Act,"
which requires the Department of the Treasury to mint and issue coins in
2010 in commemoration of disabled American veterans;

H.R. 814, the "Children's Gasoline Burn Prevention Act," which requires
that portable gasoline containers manufactured for sale in the United
States conform to a certain child-resistance standard for closures; and

S. 2967, which provides for certain Federal employee benefits to be
continued for certain employees of the Senate Restaurants.
