Sex in the back was (pardon the pun) common.  Group sex was not common.

The first time he was asked to go to a drive-thru for burgers he couldn't
turn a corner at the end of the drive-thru and had to reverse (don't recall
if anybody was in line behind him).  He found a couple of places where he
could drive straight through so he'd pull up far enough so they could
order; he'd pay at the pay window (and add it to the bill) and then pull up
to the pickup window so they could get their happy meals.
