        These cells did come up with the tabs that are spot-welded on
  them. But the other end has to be soldered. This is where I got to be
  easy on the heat. I will first do a touch of solder and then when
  applying the tab, it sets quick.

        Not possible in this marine radio, Tom. Tight space. I do use one
  of these  trays in a depth-sounder. The battery that it was designed for
  is no longer made. This sounder if of British design too.
