Some time ago, there was discussion of the desirability of a moderator for
AUST_ADS.   There was general outcry, and consensus that the echo ran very
well by itself, and had no need for, or desire for, such.

The echo has deteriorated to the point where it's a general chat and flame
echo - with a minor amount of personal ads.  The commercial ads that the
echo was founded for have long since left - or have been submerged in the
crap to the point of invisibility.  

Those ads were a major asset of considerable value to the community at
large - you aren't thanked for wiping them with the fantasy of "self
regulation".  Not a bit of it.

Clean it up, or it will cease to be carried on 1 Aug.  I don't care the
slightest how it's done - but do it, or vanish from the backbone.
