Aha.

May be but don't know. Networking went first. I didn't use it for
several months. When I got a new cable and tried the network, nothing.
(I went back to a known good cable with no improvement.)

I don't know what you are talking about. When I had it apart once (to
p[ut in a new PCMCIA caddy) there was a pretty good sized space and an
empty connector where the modem should have been.

I have a US Robotics 56K, but no wall wart to match. I could hard wire
it. I do have quite a collection of wall warts. Do you have any idea
how exact the voltage needs to be? (Right now I don't even remember
what voltage is called for)
