You are right of course. I have a friend that taught third grade, I was
always glad to have her students in math--they all knew their facts and could
easily master the Fifth grade book.
Learning by osmosis does not work, there have to be clear goals and
requirements for our process, if not, then confusion and lack of progress
results.
