     Clark:

I just read your post on new acquisitions. "Gradually Going Tornado" is
my least fave Bruford release...and I guess it's mainly due to Jeff Berlin's
"vocals." A MONSTER bassist, he could certainly have omitted those painful
vocals and concentrated just on playing, as far as I'm concerned. OH
well...he'd probably say it was a necessary part of his musical evolving, you
know?

But "Gothic 17" is, indeed, a good song. My personal favorite on that
album is "Palewell Park."

Do you have or have you seen or have you heard the album by Players? It
was a one-time studio release. Jeff Berlin on bass, T Lavitz on keyboards,
Scott Henderson on guitar, and Steve Smith (from Journey) on drums. It
really would fall under the "fusion" category, but the playing is amazing!!
