OS/2 and eCS should support a primary (s)vga card + a secondary

ftp://ftp.scitechsoft.com/snap/os2/beta/ The latest release is currently

I was not looking for dual-screen, but dual monitor. One SVGA the other
VGA, 2 different monitors. Second one for full-screen sessions.
With 2 pci s3 cards os/2 would install second vga drivers. With Matrox and
one S3 pci would install but Matrox would boot at VGA rather
than SVGA and other monitor would not display as config.sys would give
error at last line below. Matrox changes the last 2 files below and
appears the /dual paramter is invalid for that card.

SET GRADD_CHAINS=C1
DEVICE=D:\OS2\GRADD.SYS
DEVICE=D:\OS2\MDOS\VMANWIN.SYS
DEVICE=D:\OS2\MDOS\VPRPMI.SYS
SET C1=GENGRADD
DEVINFO=SCR,VGA,D:\OS2\BOOT\VIOTBL.DCP
SET VIDEO_DEVICES=VIO_VGA,VIO_SVGA
SET VIO_SVGA=DEVICE(BVHSVGA)
SET VIO_VGA=DEVICE(BVHVGA)
DEVICE=D:\OS2\MDOS\VSVGA.SYS
DEVICE=D:\OS2\MDOS\VVGA.SYS /dual

On a side note, previous problem with Warpsans font unavailable in Font
Palette in Warp 4 cured itself when installing Matrox card. Now
have Warpsans. Fonts in apps that were set for Warpsans now display, even
Firefox menus switch from Times Roman to Warpsans Bold.
Too many problems with S3 make it not worth the trouble of dual monitor
compared to the beauty of Matrox.
