There are several different flavors of 1.7 Opus, but 1.73a is the latest
version. So anyone running 1.72, 1.73 (no a) and so on should change to
1.73a.
Now, what if you are running 1.73a and still having problems? Depending on
the problem, it is probably a good idea to:
1) get out your archive of Opus files and unpack OPUS.EXE, and copy it over
your existing OPUS.EXE, in case the existing one has been damaged in some way
2) in the same way, if something seems busted, try making a new one.
For instance, if you are having scheduling problems, try making a
new schedule from scratch.
3) Make sure you have the best support utilities. For instance, it's known
that Oman's event features just don't work well. I much prefer Oevent. If
something is getting messed up, look at all the pieces of the system which
interacts with the messed-up part.
4) Every now and then, go back and re-read the docs. It could be that you
missed something before which is a clue to your problem, simply because you
didn't have the experience running Opus to make sense of what the docs said.
and of course 5) keep asking questions in Meadow.
