BR>I have a custom NiMH battery pack I built for a digital camera (the battery BR>door broke on the camera itself) that I would like to leave on continuous BR>charge when not in use. I know an overnight (15-hour) charge is 10-15% of th BR>rated AH using Reg-I, and I know how to trickle charge Lead-Acid batteries BR>(long-term) using Voltage regulation, but how does this work with NiNH? Can BR>float them with Reg-V? %? NOT really. There are though Fully Automatic Universal NiCad battery chargers out there. They use Voltage curves fro determing Charged end point and cit bac kto a maintenance charge or in the better ones fully cut off and monitor a certian voltage droop for charging turn on. I concider those as the olny csafe ones to leave a battery in Full time. I got one from www.batteries amercia.com Yupo might also check www.mahaenergy.com for a universal charger. NOW tyou wil most liekly have to make up a custom charging cord/holder to mate with the Battery pack. --- þ SLMR 2.1a þ This note from El Cajon California USA* Origin: Try Our Web Based QWK: DOCSPLACE.ORG (1:123/140) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 123/140 500 106/2000 633/267 |
