Regional variations... here it would rhyme with "spook", but let's not
carry this on any further...

From all I've read, +/- 10% on a reading is "acceptable" - most ASUS
motherboard monitoring software comes preset to this... that would
make a 12V anywhere from 10.8V to 13.2V as "okay", and the voltage
regulators on the motherboard can "dial it in"... the monitors are
always a little off, though.

My digital multimeter was WAY outta whack yesterday... showing 12V at
about 14.5V.... yikes! The power supply is brand new! The Antec Power
Supply Tester has green lights across the board!

So I switched the multimeter off DC volts over to AC voltage, and
jammed the probes in a wall socket... hrm.... instead of 120V, it was
showing... 142V!

After I switched the 9V battery in the multimeter, everything was
showing a far more acceptable number! :-D

In short - don't always believe the first reading you take!!
