subject: What`s the frequency...

* In a message to All on 09-22-97, BARRY LAWS, JR. said the following:
BLJ> I'd like to know the following things...
BLJ>
BLJ> 1) The frequency # for the BBC (British Broadcasting Corp.)
Check Radio Shack for the World SW Listening Guide, or the BBC
website (forget the URL). The BBC transmits on *MANY*
frequencies to many parts of the world in many languages at
many different times of the day.
BLJ> 2) Last year I was listening to a shortwave station (I think it was the
BLJ> Canadian Broadcasting Corp) and they did an ad for something called the
BLJ> "Tiny-tenna". What exactly is it? Does it work, and if so, where can I
r
BLJ> one? I have a Radio Shack DX-350 receiver, and there is no port for an
BLJ> external
BLJ> antenna, so it probably won't work on mine.
Radio Shack also makes a portable SW antenna that clips on to
the rod antenna of your receiver. It's a long wire on a reel.
For further info (before this becomes a sales pitch), call
        1-800-the-shack (from the US) or +1 817 890 3011, or visit
        www.radioshack.com. Hope this helps.
