These were sort of intended (albeit humorously) to each be worthy of its
own message/thread! *LOL* But I'll go with short-form answers to each
all in one message, why not? :)

 DP> GP> * "Is the USA Government Really Pro-Canada?"

DP> They would be if they knew how to spell our name.

Ahh, but WOULD they really be PRO Canada then? or just as apathetic &
using of us as now, without knowing our name/location or much of
ANYTHING about us, other than we're a nice peaceful country all "tucked
away down there"?

 DP> GP> * " Was the Greatest PM Canada

I don't understand this need to match our dollar to the US dollar -- the
same name is a COINCIDENCE -- they're atcually TWO different currencies
-- we certainly don't say much about having parity with the Mexican peso
(anotheu North American currency that's included in NAFTA)

I remember picking up a pack of cigs for my dad in maybe the mid 1970's
(I was about 9 or so) at the gas station, and coming back with an
American dollar as part of the change and my dad was FURIOUS!! *LOL*
(sent me back down there to get a REAL dollar!) it's been a long time
since anyone would complain about THAT, eh? heh

I liked "This Hour Has 22 Minutes" take on it -- they suggested the
PQ forming a coalition with the Alliance, so "the separatists from the
West and the separatists from the East combine and we finally have a
united Canada!"

It's all politics(ptui!) anyway -- as you said in the part I omitted for
brevity/neatness, most there don't go with the extremist view! (and
most Anglo-Canadians don't go with the OTHER extremist view of, "f***
em, let 'em go!"

So long as their noisemaking gets them the lion's share of transfer
payments from Ottawa, and a more decisive voice in Parliament, they'll
not change their approach!

 DP> GP> * " is the BEST!!!"

Well aren't you the unique one! *LOL*
I meant that more as a controversial come-on for all those OUTSIDE of
Toronto, who mostly DO have some sort of opinion on it (&, for them, not
having ever SEEN Toronto in person is not considered , BY them, to be
any sort of shortcoming or barrier to having strong anti-Toronto
opinions! *sigh*)

I've been in Ontario (and every province to the west thereof, at least
outside the Territories) but not Toronto, so I, too, reserve
judgement... but I am already aware that it's a cultural centre and
filled with just regular folks, (as is Vancouver, except we're nowhere
near as historically cultural!)

 DP> GP> * "Toronto sucks, eh?"
 DP>
DP> Hmmm. Not really. Parts of it does. I hate driving in it. But the
DP> nightlife is unbelievable. And I'm all about the parties, man.

Ditto as above, with other peoples' biased views! :)

I think EVERY city could have it said, especially by its own citizens,
"parts of it suck"

 DP> GP> * "Gay Marriages?"
 DP>

Aww, if they want equality, why shouldn't they have the suffering and
hassles of marriage just like the rest of us? *LOL*

Marriage is a 3-ring circus, I heard:

Engagement Ring
Wedding Ring
Suffer Ring
