   In the clubroom of the university science fiction club, there's a
cartoon with the caption HOLIDAY TRAFFIC. It shows two vehicles, with
suitcases strapped to the top of each, stopped next to each other at a
traffic light; we can see, through the rear windows, the silhouettes
of the drivers dropping their respective drink containers and staring
at each other in open-mouthed disbelief. The first vehicle is a fairly
normal car, with a bumper sticker saying WE'VE BEEN TO DISNEYLAND. The
other vehicle is a flying saucer, with a bumper sticker saying WE'VE
BEEN TO AREA 51.
