I would think so, but it's hard telling how it's done.  There are several
possible methodsthat could be used, though I would suspect either a
control channel or a calling channel.  I am unfamiliar with any but the
most basic concepts of how a trunked system works.  I do know they are
getting popular in many areas, and security due to frequency hopping is
one of the reasons.
 
Perhaps there is someone else in the echo that knows a LOT more about them
than I do.   :-}
