FM> One of the perennially grave problems in attempts to fight the
FM> problem of crime is the simplistic approach so readily adopted by those
FM> who believe themselves to be marvels of wisdom in virtually all
FM> sociological fields. You have, once again, shown the utter fallacy of
 FM> such shallow reasoning.
I would tell you all the ways that you're wrong except that
"simplistic" and "shallow" are not arguments needing refuting
in the first place.
FM> The more thoughtful family members of the
FM> victims of these crimes usually report that in the period following the
FM> execution of the miscreant they do not REALLY feel that "closure"
FM> everybody talks about so freely.
Family members of victims usually don't feel that justice
is done unless the criminal is executed.
FM> I don't think we've given nearly enough thought to the issue of
FM> whether or not it might be better for society in the long run to
FM> legalize ALL drugs and the reason we haven't is once again the public
FM> notion that there is ONE SIMPLE, MORAL ANSWER to almost any question
FM> and that ANSWER usually turns out to be HIGHLY PUNITIVE in the VENGEFUL
FM> sense. I know, personally, the tremendous threat of drugs to the
FM> ordinary family struggling to raise children but I've noted, also, that
FM> somebody like Carroll O'Conner has opted for legalization and if
FM> anybody should be privileged to input an opinion on the subject I think
 FM> he should.
Has that dipsh*t Carroll O'Conner opted to legalize drugs?
Anyway, we don't legalize drugs because Liberals prefer to blame
anything other than the individual for what the individual does
(unless you're a white guy). And, because Liberals want to play
Big Brother and Nanny to everyone and protect us from bad things
like marijuana, tobacco, golf carts that don't have airbags, and
religion. Liberals hate freedom and they only reason they would
want to legalize drugs is if they wanted as to be high on crack.
