Thanks for the offer Justin.  However I'm still trying to work out a decent

combination of indicators which will give reliable buy/sell signals from

the data I already have.  There's not much point in subscribing to current

Almax data until I have nutted out a system which will allow me to

speculate profitably.  When (and if:-)) I find one, then I will need current

data and will give you a ring.



I recently downloaded a system which shows promise, working with the OEX Index

(Standard & Poor's 100) and the NYSE Advances and Declines but I'm still trying

to find a way of getting this info daily.  There are a number of firms and

brokers who do supply these data but my ISP is presently undergoing some

changes and, if and when I do get through, movement is sluggish to dead stop.

But, if I can get this stuff, then it might be more profitable to work on

the American exchanges with American brokers as their rates are so much lower 

than ours. 



I got a comprehensive Info Pack from ETrade (a flat fee broker) the other day

and their commission for any trade from $4000 to $100,000 is a mere $US19.95.

Add $6 on to that and you are only paying $A26.  Pont, who are perhaps the

cheapest brokers in Australia can't come near that price. Their charges are 

$60 per order under $6000 and $120 from $6000 to $100,000.  A sizeable

difference but, of course, they can do that sort of thing in the US with

the size of the population over there.
