Go back and read my reply where I first mentioned "reliably" Tue, 31 Jan

Nowhere did I insinuate that I was speaking only of hard disks.
Mainboard and other internal components are indeed at risk of premature
failure when case temps are elevated.

Do you know anyone running a laptop 24/7 who has had it last as long as
a typical desktop?
