| subject: | F1: Jaguar Valencia test notes 2004-02-20 |
A torrential rainstorm prevented Jaguar Racing from running at the Valencia circuit on the final day of their three-day testing programme. Newly appointed official test driver Bjorn Wirdheim was due to run on Friday but it wasn't all bad news for the team. The previous two days of running were highly encouraging and the team managed to complete its full programme of components testing, set-up work, weight distribution, tyre evaluation and practice starts. Because of the rain, the team instead spent time working on the cars off-track before packing up early and sending the cars and parts back to their Milton Keynes base in England. "We managed to complete our planned programme of testing on Wednesday and Thursday without any significant problems and we're very pleased with the feedback we achieved," commented head of vehicle performance, Dr Mark Gillan. "We're obviously now looking forward to Melbourne but there's still work to be done before the lights go out on March 7." -jaguar- http://www.motorsport.com -- your source for motorsport news on the Internet --- FIDOGATE 5.2.0ds-alpha3* Origin: TCOB1.net a way of life...
