Hello Wayne -

WC>>> I expect since the Turtle Beach uses the same fonts it'll
WC>>> sound the same but I need to pick up a "wall wart" to
WC>>> power the speakers. No amp on the hardware sound card.

->> Headphones are probably more useful and usually sound
->> better than most speaker systems sold for computer use.

WC> I've a nice set of Sony headphones.

That should work. :-)

->> --8<--cut

WC>>> Another is the standard ATX PS differs from the SFX in
WC>>> one pin that can be disasterous if not taken into account
WC>>> on some systems. I believe the SFX drops the -12V while
WC>>> the ATX retains

WC>> > it?

->> I don't know the answer to that but I would definitely want
->> that answer if/when I tried to use an external power
->> supply. :-)

WC> Yeah I had looked into it with a google search. Forget the
WC> specifics but believe the only difference is in one PS
WC> connector pin. In the SFX it's open, in the other IIRC it's
WC> -12 DC.

WC> Some typical keywords would be SFX, pinout, "power supply"
WC> computer ATX, pinout, "power supply" computer

When I win the lottery it's going to be nothing but rackmount
for me. An entire WALL of electronics and the _neighbors_
lights will dim when I reboot!! LOL
