Ray Gwinn's SIO product does allow for the creation of virtual modem ports, which may or may not help your situation. However, the way I read the text at: http://www.usr.com/support/doc-popup-template.asp?url=faqs/analog/com5_5610.html It sounds to me that the COM5: only problem is ONLY on Windows 95 & 98 - it states at the end that the modem can be installed on other COM ports in other operating systems.
