The _real_ author of FIDO and creater of Fidonet doesn't share
your need to be l337. A quote from his website:

self-organizing, complete lack of intrinsic heirarchy, the
ability to communicate utterly independent of others permission

monstrous heirarchy should have been killed off quick)."

That would refer to your fantasy that sysops are privileged.

Sounds as though the author of FIDO wasn't as arrogant as his
