As you can probably tell.. I am a exercising access to/from this echo via jamnntp. I think jamnntp (and similar technology) is a great way to introduce fido echos to people who have absolutely no clue about bbses and echomail technology. Jamnntp makes the messages a simple integration in one's existing email/newsgroup program. There are no qwk packets, scanning, tossing, zipping, unzipping, area-requesting, and binkd'ing to worry about from the user's perspective. The goal is to get people to participate in Fido and multiple echos. Then as the interest increases, the timing to introduce products such as Winpoint, Crosspoint, Apoint, etc..might work out. ..but I digress. Hey.. I think this paragraph is a good candidate for intbbs_wk and bbs_carnival! -- ?§ø`ø§?o,,,,o?§ø`ø§?o,,,, ..Aug --- JamNNTPd/Linux v1.0 - w/Mods by Hub2000* Origin: Hub2000 FTN News Server (1:229/2000) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 5030/786 @PATH: 229/2000 123/500 106/2000 633/267 |
