  For the ZyXEL modems it may be omitted, but there are some awkward modems 
that cannot cope with the CD signal. In the case you might use DSR instead of 
CD with the setting.

  What about me, I just have locked my port at 115200bps and everything goes 
fine. Just try and see. If you encounter CRC errors then your computer or 
software is too slow for the speed... Try to reduce it but not less than 
57600.
