Feb. 16, 1964 -- Pedro Rodrigues wins his second straight Daytona Continental
in a Ferrari 250 GTO. The race was a 2,000 kilometer event, making Rodrigues
the only driver to win at both the three-hour and 2,000 kilometer distances.

Feb. 16, 1974 -- Richard Petty wins his fifth Daytona 500.

Feb. 16, 1975 -- Benny Parsons wins the Daytona 500.

Feb. 16, 1976 -- David Pearson wins the Daytona 500.

Feb. 16, 1986 -- Geoff Bodine wins the Daytona 500.

Feb. 16, 1992 -- Davey Allison wins the Daytona 500.

Feb. 16, 1997 -- Jeff Gordon wins his first Daytona 500.

Feb. 16, 2003 -- Michael Waltrip wins his second Daytona 500.
