Okay then. Look up in your books and tell me what models the 392 was
installed in and what numbers of 392 were installed. I already have and
posted the information to you yesterday. My source was "ENCYCLOPEDIA OF
AMERICAN CARS FROM 1930".

No Lori, DeSoto WAS a Chrysler product until 1961 when it ceased production.
However it was not another make bought by Chrysler, Chrysler introduced
DeSoto as it own line in 1928, (the same year it brought out the first
Plymouth - the bottom of the Chrysler line), and was targeted to fit between
Dodge (who it bought the same year) and Chrysler (then the top of their
ne).
By the way, I am not anti MoPar. I own a '57 Imperial with the 392 hemi. But
then I also have 5 FoMoCo products (counting the tractor), 5 G.M. products,
One I.H. and a lone import (M.B. 560 SEC).
Before you bring up the 392 came out in '52 again I do suggest some real
research (something other than Bubba's Guide to Hot MoPars and trailer
homes), like going to the library and looking at maybe an old chilton's
manual, or maybe a good auto history book.
