Jonathon wrote 4 reports yesterday. They weren't big things, but they
were on dinosaurs. He drew a picture and wrote a few lines about it.
He read it in front of us all. That is good for him as he is language
deficit. He has a hard time expressing himself and so this was a big
accomplishment for him. Especially since he had to answer questions on
his own afterwards. I assigned one report and he did 4 on his own. I'm
really proud to see his motivation growing. He didn't really do the report
the way I wanted it, but I let it go. The fact that he was so motivated
(which is something that died last year in formal school) I was very
pleased. Plus he did it all by himself. He is very dependent on me, my
fault, from all the years he was in school. All I got to say is he is on
the road. Now the other two.............I'm working on it!
