NB>> Probably wouldn't hurt... ;) I never stopped reading for pleasure,
NB>> but I just can't read for as long or as fast... especially when my
NB>> eyes get tired...
DAG> Yeah to be honest I completely forgot about working on trying to get
DAG> into that habit again after the first night. Which sucks, because I've
DAG> got a few library books here, that manuscript from my mom, and a few
DAG> others on a queue that I can't dissuade my roommate from putting
DAG> together for me.
Sounds like it's time to get reading again... :) At least a little...
to nibble away at the pile... :)
NB>> He's had a bit more in-your-face experience on learning that than my
NB>> son had at that age, I'd guess... :)
DAG> He's had a lot of it. The kid is ahead of his time, but I think we
DAG> all know some of the losses that all too often accompany that.
He'll be ok... :) He's in a position now to be able to learn the more
normal things that might have gone by the wayside before... :)
DAG>> 20 pages a night until I'm done. So far the writing is pretty
DAG>> friggin' good. Reminds me a little bit of Peter Straub.
NB>> Sounds promising... :)
DAG> It was that first night. Then the manuscript disappeared into the
DAG> disorganization here. I'm gonna try to get another shot at it tonight
DAG> after I finish up this email and make sure that it's laying out
DAG> somewhere where I can see it before I crash out tonight. ;)
And did that work...? ;) Sounds like a worthy project, and not too
likely to be a disappointment... :)
NB>> One can start a religous war over just about anything... ;) And
NB>> there are a lot of different thought systems to (try to) explain
NB>> the universe... ;)
DAG> It's a damn shame people can't just find the ones that help them to
DAG> be the best, most peaceful and accepting people that they can, and stop
DAG> giving a crap about the systems that are working for each other. ;)
DAG> My own belief system is that a lot of those systems are used for
DAG> manipulation too much for that to be possible, but a man can dream.
DAG> Soooo much wasted on warfare that we could feed the world HOW many
DAG> times over?
It's a fallen world... not what it should be.... nor how originally God
intended it to be...
