    As written previously on this or other lists, my internal "Action 
Tec Call Waiting PCI Modem" works fine with COM.SYS, ver. 1.2 and 
Faxworks' driver, FMD.SYS.  It is identified as above and as a 
"Lucent/Agere Venus WinModem" by PCI.EXE (PCI_VK).

    Also, I got a handy utility from their web-site, PMDMCFG.EXE, which 
scans for the modem and gives the port, i/o address & irq in a DOS CL 
session.  I don't know if this utility works for PCI modems with a 
similar chipset from other manufacturers.  If anyone wants a copy of 
this program to test its usefulness, let me know today so I can send out 
only *one* e-mail with attached archive to everyone.
