subject: Referendum results..

RL>> Here are the somewhat apathetic results from the referendum

RL>> that was asked "Do we want a moderator to run this
echo??"......

IM> Who appointed you as the "official" spokesperson for this

 IM> echo?

No one, Ian, although you have had ample time to "put" up before this. I

don't claim to be an "official" anything, I was only trying to help the

echo when it appeared to be on a collision course with Dave H.

How often do you read this echo?

IM> How can you presume to call for nominations to a position that

IM> was specifically excluded when this echo was started?

That's called democracy, Ian. Majority rules. Time rolls on and people,

attitudes and circumstances change. That's called evolution. Sometimes

people have to get off their collective arses and make changes. That's called

revolution, Ian.

IM> I would like to ask that the people who started this echo be

IM> consulted as to what they would like to do.

Feel free, ask away. This echo was _never_ started with the view that it

would denigrate to what it is today. If "they" were so interested in the

outcome of this echo the _SURELY_ they would have stood up to be counted

long before this.

IM> I am disgusted with the antics of the "yahoos" in this echo

Hence this position.._WE_ all are.

IM> but I think that they disappear over time, probably due to self

 IM> abuse.

What you think, and what is actually happening is quite two different

points.

IM> Dave Hatch presumes to have the right to cut this echo from

As he has.

IM> the backbone. What other echos will he cut if he does not like

IM> them? What about LTAUE? Who give him the right to control all

                      ^^^^^

I don't believe Dave mentioned this!! Why should you??

 IM> echomail on the net?

IM> If Dave has this right then I do not want to be part of his

IM> backbone and offer to move this echo independently of his system as

IM> long as it remains unmoderated. I will happily put my Telstra

IM> dollar where my mouth is to get this echo to remain unmoderated.

Go for it. No one is stopping you Ian, but I, and obviously the majority

of interested parties, would greatly like to see this echo return to the

"being" that it was supposed to be. If moderation will fix this, then so

be it!

BTW, I stepped aside to let another run the nominations. I do believe

that you are to late as the apathy shown resulted in two nominations,

with one winning by default.
