Yes, it's quite small in comparison to some others (OBERON is
small too). 

TCP/IP has been added which should make MINIX a more useful OS.
The version I had long ago didn't really 'communicate' as it
was a learning tool for students and never intended to become a
full-use everyman's OS. MINIX 3 changes that somewhat. :-)
