It was built by Hudson, probably in '53 or '54 (prior to '53, the
"low priced" Hudson was the "Pacemaker 6", and in '55 or so, Hudson
merged with Nash to form American Motors (which is now the Jeep/Eagle
division of Chrysler). The last "Hudson" was built in 1957.
The "Jet" was a smaller car, very reminiscent of a 53-54 Ford. Starting in
'55 the cars were basically "clones" of Nash products, and the low priced
car was called the "Wasp". "Big" Hudsons were the "Hornet" from 1951
through to the end.
