     Perhaps,
         mov ax,3
         int 10h
     is to be considered.
     It is not needed if you are in mode3 already and will clear the screen.
     This may not be desired.
     If the screen is in 132 column mode it will reset it to 80.
     Maybe testing to see if in mode3 first is a good idea.
