Hello Ross -

--8<--cut

RC>>> You cant discuss that which you know nothing about..

Right and I don't know the secret handshake either - so what.

CA>> OK, and here is the crux of the matter. You want to turn
CA>> the dicussion towards something that you _do_ know
CA>> something about. Right?

RC> The discussion mutated deeper because you decided that
RC> reciting cold hard facts to you was being arrogant.

The tone of your 'facts' was arrogant.

CA>> I am hearing that being a part of fidonet is very
CA>> important to you

RC> Not very important, its a hobby.

It's something you mention frequently and not just in this
thread, in many others I've seen. It's your only claim to
'fame' AFAIK.

CA>> and something you enjoy discussing. That part is not a
CA>> problem but for the fact, as you have pointed out, I have
CA>> never attempted to be a part of fidonet.

RC> When this argument began, I had assumed you had been a
RC> listed sysop at some point in time,

That you jumped to the wrong conclusion is not my
responsibility. You do that often enough that I'd expect you to
be accustom to the feeling.

RC> even when this assumption was disproven,

"disproven" - WTF are you referring to now? You goofed, it's
that simple.

RC> I told you that had you been a sysop in Fidonet, you may
RC> have been able to have sought a remedy for that which
RC> distressed you via its policy.

"for that which distressed" me? Why not speak the terrible
truth? They (yes more than one) DELETED MY REPLIES to make me
appear stupid in the middle of a disagreement. JK already
admitted it here just a few weeks ago.

Here is "that which distressed" me:

CA>> I have said nothing untoward to JK nor have I posted any
CA>> inaccurate information re:JK.

JK> Sure you have.

I told you I remember you.

JK> Go back and read all your comments.

JK> Bye Charles, you aren't worth the time it takes to type.

Am I worth the time it takes to delete my messages?

> I told you I remember you.

I think you are confused, to be honest.

>> Go back and read all your comments.

>> Bye Charles, you aren't worth the time it takes to type.

> Am I worth the time it takes to delete my messages?

Silly man, that wasn't me. That was Warren Hrach, 'member now?

Take care,
Janis

--------------

I don't remember the names but several people with titles of
'grand high pubah' within fidonet approached me and we
discussed the problem. Nothing was done. WH had been
tossed out of the Linux echo so often he started his own
"Linux Users" echo that many referred to as the "L-users"
echo. :-)

WH liked to go off on rants - frequently. That I had
problems with him is not unusual, most people did have
problems with him.

RC> Being that not the case, I told you that you already
RC> exercised the only recourse you had and you voted with your
RC> feet and you use a different BBS.

That's an over simplification.
It was time consuming trying to find out why my messages began
disappearing and when I traced it to his BBS he admitted he had
deleted some and that another person had also deleted some
(guess who?). Yes, they each ratted out the other.

RC> I neither defend or condone that which transpired, it
RC> probably could have been handled differently, but one
RC> story, two sides.

One story, two admissions (see above).

There are no 'sides'. It is cowardly, and irresponsible for a
fidonet sysop to win arguments by deleting replies. JK admitted
recently that she knew WH did it. That admission alone
should've satisfied your curiosity.

RC> But what brought me into this thread was you using this
RC> GRUDGE you hold towards the involved sysops as foundation
RC> for you to outright insult their intelligence.

That's a lie. My saying that a "Me Too" reply "does not become
you madame" or "I remember you" is not "an outright insult".
You are living in a fantasy world pal. If you had minded your
own business JK wouldn't have slipped up and admitted she knew
WH was deleting my messages.

YOU are the cause of any "outright" anything that has
transpired because you couldn't mind your own business.

RC> Smart people do stupid things.

Yes like admitting my messages were being deleted and your
volunteering to be her monkey-boy. :-)

If it wasnt for the fact that she is happily married, I
would be glad to be her monkey boy... :)
