    Hello All,
I recently removed Junkie and Junkie 1207a from a friend's computer.
I used the Feb '97 version of F-Prot which worked painlessly, but
advised me that command.com was no longer a "bootable" file ( this
  was on a computer running Win95B ).
Not a problem, I overwrote it from my boot disk and everything
runs fine now. Strangely enough she also had a Win3.11 computer
next to it with the same virus and this was removed cleanly.
Is this a problem of using a DOS scanner on Win95, or a problem
all scanners find with the Win95 boot sector? I have tried the
latest Mcafee for Win95 but found it a little too much for my
needs, but I was curious as to whether it could remove this
type of virus from the boot sector and also " repair " the files.
              Thanks for your trouble,
                          Andrew Strong.
