I have chopped peppers and then frozen them, they tend to clump
together and sometimes are hard to separate the ammount you want.
Also I've thought they develop a slight off flavor in the
freezer. When you freeze them whole can you chop them while they
are still frozen? Or what do you do when you're ready to use
them?  It sure sounds easier to do them by your method!
