What was your first clue? It knew where specific files could be found, 
by folder and filename. It had copies of certificates (that you aren't 
just going to get your hands on from 'hacking' as you think it's done 
thanks to hollywood) for folder/file access purposes. Nah, that couldn't 
possibly be an inside job. 

Don't ya know? People who write malware just hard code random locations 
inside their executable and keep upto a few sets of certs. Hoping that 
someday the malware will find it's way onto a machine connected to a 
network that matches the layout the author hardcoded into it.And will 
accept the certificates the malware author included inside the binary.  

The malware author is betting on two things going against them. Internal 
network layout and valid login credentials. /sarcasm
