There were a couple or three packages on freshmeat that seemed to be
applicable to such stuff.  Slightly different slants on doing things,  and
I'll have to check them out one of these days as time permits.

I'm mostly thinking about using the stereo audio inputs that are available
(one set is used by the vcr and there's an extra set that's currently
unused) more than anything else.
