The Adaptec 2940 ---no suffix-- has 50 pin external. It is the current
board for my scanner. Nothing wrong with a same-vintage Buslogic except
you'll pump less money into the economy acquiring one.

So, do you, or anyone who has been following this discussion, have 
recommendations for, or experience with, an appropriate Adaptec
