VN> Hello Meg!
VN> Well, I talked to a guy with the Arizona Desert Riders today - they
are
>having a trail ride to raise money to buy Jake Hunt a new horse and pay
or
>his
>medical bills - he's the one who got hit by lightning and his horse died.
>Dean's son decided he wants to live with his mom (another topic) who
abandon
>him when he was 8 years old; I am so upset I am offering Casey as a
>replacement
Don't be too upset Vickie. Kids that age all seem to suffer from the
grass is greener somewhere else syndrome. It will take him a while to
come to his senses. I swear that with my boys that the term "brain
dead" described them from about 10 till ???? the oldest seems to be
able to think now, he's 26 the youngest is now able to think as long as
you stay on one of 4 or 5 subjects.
VN> The cattle drive part itself is less than four hours, according to
he
>man
>I talked to. Distances aren't what they used to be; the range is
apparently
>fairly close to the ranch. I called my mom and made arrangements to keep
ou
Thats probably just about the right length if you are use to staying in
the saddle all day. The thought of staying in the saddle all day is
enough to make me cringe. I wouldn't be able to walk the next 2 or 3
days. Make that I wouldn't be able to move.
>the only problem that they had was that Dub is clever enough and
experienced
>enough as a ranch horse that he constantly was stepping out, over the
barbed
>wire, and getting loose. This was a regular thing with him, about 3 times
Giggle. Did you ever get to watch him do it?
