1 tb Malt syrup, molasses or
White sugar
2 tb Caned jalapeno peppers,
Drained, blotted, chopped
3/4 ts Salt
1/4 ts Chili powder
1/4 c Cornmeal
1/2 c Whole wheat flour
2 c Bread flour
1/2 ts Active dry yeast
1/3 c Shredded mild cheddar
Cheese*

*Work into dough.
Jalapeno peppers are available in jars or cans in maany supermarkets,
delis and specialtey food stores. Slice wet peppers in half, remove
seeds and stems, chop and blot dry on a paper towel. these spicy
bagels are wonderful to serve in a mini size to serve with cocktails
or as appetizers.
