Robin,
I'm so greatful to know that your friend is doing well. I can recall
when I was a child that we had snow drifts that buried the front and back
door, and since I was always long and lean, and limber, they stuck me out the
window, which I thought was great fun for parents to ask me to do. Seems
that I took my time checking out everything around me since there wasn't so
much as a footprint in the snow. Cars were at a standstill that morning, so
it seemed like I was the only one on the face of the planet at that very
moment. When I hear of such happenings, it urgues something in me that makes
me want to go, and see if I can help, but recalling one thing that was told
me ages ago, "you can't be a rescuer if you are the one who needs to be
rescued".
I spoke to Mike's Mom Sunday, and she said that she has not had pain meds
since the surgery, and was up in the therapy pool the day following her
surgery. She said she feels wonderful, and in fact was getting ready to go
to church when I spoke to her.
Gotta' run for now kiddo', gotta' head out for work. Just wished
springtime would hurry up, I'm tired of winter
Patti
