Well, how fortunate for you. I didn't happen to catch either of those, but
did watch a great deal of real-time reporting over the weekend of the raid
(FoxNews, etc.). You can obviously paint things differently in hind-site,
but none of the reporting that I witnessed mentioned the existence of a
warrant, but rather the dialogue largely consisted of debate over why/why
didn't that matter.

This dynamic began to change by Sunday, but was not "common
knowledge", so the interviews, etc. were still often confused, with
some indicating that a warrant had been identified and others (on both
sides) still operating under the assumption that none existed.

My suspicion then -- and now -- was that this administration tends to look
at the law in a rather peculiar way and that even the existence of a
warrant would likely be tainted in some way.
